Redefining Field Logistics with Our New Portable Generators
As an emergency fuel supplier, it’s our job at Specialty Fuel Services (SFS) to deliver and transfer fuel during widespread power outages. To better serve our clients, SFS recently purchased two 18,000-gallon Western Global P69 portable fuel storage tanks. And now, thanks to our new portable generators from Load Max Equipment, we’ve taken emergency fuel delivery field logistics to a whole new level.
Why We Invested in Portable Generators
Load Max Equipment is a nationwide distributor for diesel and natural gas-powered portable generators. Because SFS saw the opportunity to more efficiently power our fuel transfer pumps and equipment in the field whenever, and wherever, our large portable fuel tanks are deployed, we gave Load Max a call. Subsequently purchasing two of their PE-29 portable diesel generators has just further enhanced our overall portable bulk fuel storage and transfer solutions so that we can better serve our clients’ needs when a disaster strikes.
A Self-Sufficient Mobile Fueling Station
Let’s say there’s been a major power outage in your town, and you’re coordinating a team of first responders who need to refuel their emergency vehicles while in the field. At our centrally located staging area, one of our flatbed semis can be loaded with a fueled P69 storage tank and PE-29 generator, along with all the fuel pumping equipment you’ll need.
Once dispatched to your area, the trailer can then be uncoupled and lowered securely in place on most any type of surface. Twenty-four hours a day your vehicles can then pull right up to our “mobile fueling station” to top off their tanks. Or, we can transfer the desired fuel type directly into your on-site storage tank.
If nighttime fueling is a priority, our trucks also carry bright LED lights that can be deployed around the temporary staging area to ensure safe, around-the-clock fueling operations until the normal fuel supply chain is restored. With our enhanced logistics capabilities, SFS can set up one of these self-sufficient, mobile fueling stations in an open field, parking lot or even on the beach to keep your operation rolling seamlessly along until the crisis is over!
